There are several topics that we are particularly passionate about and, we’ve found, are relevant to most families and individuals. Emily Yi has developed some workshops and presentations that provide support, education, practical tools, and -best of all- engage the participants in a creative outlet. Workshops range from presentation-style to discussion-based, depending on the audience and topic.

Workshops

Joy for the Journey- Grief and Loss:

This workshop is a part of the “Joy for the Journey” series for Senior Adults.

We will be exploring the topics of grief and guilt through creative outlets. You won’t be asked to share, so don’t worry! This will be a presentation style workshop where you can sit back and relax, take from it what you find helpful and share only what you feel comfortable sharing.

Joy for the Journey- Guilt and Shame:

This workshop was designed for Senior Adults.

We will be exploring the topics of grief and guilt through creative outlets. You won’t be asked to share, so don’t worry! This will be a presentation style workshop where you can sit back and relax, take from it what you find helpful and share only what you feel comfortable sharing.

Let’s Get Practical- For Parents of Children Under 5:

Do parents experience stress? Is that even a question? What’s your go-to behavior modification tool? Need some new tricks up your sleeve? I hope you will find a great sitter for the kiddos and bring your stress to the table to share with other parents what you find works and doesn’t work. Listen to a brief presentation on a helpful book and enjoy some time for YOU!

This workshop is a discussion-style workshop, focused on managing the stresses of parenting and your children’ behavior. Emily will be briefly reviewing one of the fantastic resources used by the Parkwood Counseling Center: 1,2,3 Magic by Thomas W. Phelan. It can be purchased on Amazon.com.
